Clarity

A web app for untangling scattered thoughts — record, transcribe, and let AI turn the mess into something readable.

Django GPT-4o OpenAI API

I was developing a SaaS project called Clarity, which I initially built using technologies completely unfamiliar to me: Swift first, and then React Native both with the help of ChatGPT, Copilot, and Cursor. However, due to the complicated and costly process of publishing apps on the App Store, I abandoned these approaches in favor of a web application built with Django.

The app was meant to solve my problem with chaotic thoughts. Its purpose was to record one's scattered thoughts on a chosen topic, transcribe them, and then summarize them with AI into a readable format that makes drawing conclusions easier. As the app developed and I began marketing it on X.com, I added a second feature that condensed thoughts into catchy tweets to achieve better marketing reach.

Under the hood, the app relied on the OpenAI API using the GPT-4o model, which, according to my tests at the time, seemed to perform best. Additionally, I was part of a group of users who could use this model without consuming tokens up to a certain limit, which reduced the costs of deploying and testing the app.

Marketing on X

Below, you can see the marketing I conducted regularly on X.com to promote the project.
